Recommended Chapter Books To Read To Your Little Boy

Mother reading to children

Having concluded my “Missionary Mondays” series, I’m ready to start something new!

My two boys, Rudy and Mark, are 5 and 3…which means that they are completely disciplined when it comes to sitting still.  They never wiggle, get distracted, or start making gross noises.

Ha!

Okay, so my boys are definitely not wiggle-free, but they have proven to me recently that they can sit and enjoy a chapter book!

Wow…chapter books!  Another season, another milestone.  Soon, they will be shaving.  It starts with a chapter book and them BAM!  My little boys are all grown up.  Maybe I should keep them in board books a while longer…

🙂

Despite my fear of them growing up overnight, I have assembled my Top 10 Chapter Books To Be Read To Young Boys.  The books in this list are full of adventure and seem to foster a sense of loyalty and honesty in little boys.  The chapters are short and most of the books have illustrations throughout…I have found these books to be a great transition into my boys being able to listen for longer periods of time and follow a story over several days.

This particular post is going to feature all ten books.  The remainder of the posts in this series will feature one of the books at a time and will include fun questions for each chapter and a big activity to do at the end of each book.  I hope you enjoy this series!

Happy Reading!

Hi, my name is Lauren. I am the wife of a hardworking man and the momma of five precious children – three boys and two princesses! I love them so much. I spend most of my day homeschooling, cooking, and playing outside, and it’s really fun to write about. I hope you leave here full of hope that “tired” can be good.
